Future of Democrats in the 5th

Panel to discuss the future for Democrats in Virginia at breakfast November 19

The next regular monthly Charlottesville/Albemarle Democratic Breakfast will be held Saturday, November 19 at 9:30 a.m. at JABA, 674 Hillsdale Drive, Charlottesville (behind Fashion Square and adjacent to the Marriott Courtyard). A light breakfast is served, the event is free and the public is warmly invited.

A panel discussion will center on the future of the Democratic Party in our region. Retiring Delegate Mitch Van Yahres will moderate. Invited panelists include Tom Vandever, Meredith Richards, Lane Kneedler, Mike Signer, Connie Brennan, Steve Koleszar and Marshall Pryor.

Issues and events to be discussed will include the meaning of the results of the recent elections, Creigh Deeds and the recount, and a look ahead at the Fifth District Congressional race in 2006.
